Privacy Policy for Steady

At Steady, your privacy is fundamental to how the app is engineered. Steady is an offline-first habit and routine tracking application. We do not operate user accounts, cloud databases, or advertising trackers.

1. Data Storage & Ownership

All habit, routine, and personal data stays on your device.

Your habit schedules, logs, notes, and progress metrics are stored locally on your device.
We do not transmit your habit or lifestyle data to any remote servers.
You can export or clear your data at any time directly through the app settings.
Premium users can create encrypted backups (AES-256-GCM) of their data. Backups are created and stored locally, or exported by you to a location of your choosing — Steady does not upload backups to any server.

2. Health Connect Data

Steady integrates with Android Health Connect to support habit tracking. With your permission, the app reads the following data types:

Steps — to track step-count habits.
Hydration — to track water-intake habits.
Sleep — to track sleep habits.
Exercise Sessions — to automatically mark exercise habits as complete when a workout is recorded by another connected app or device, using Android's Activity Recognition permission to support accurate exercise detection.

This data is used only on your device to update your habit completion status. Steady does not transmit Health Connect data to any remote server, does not share it with third parties, and does not use it for advertising or analytics. You can revoke Steady's access to any of these data types at any time through Android's Health Connect settings.

Notice: Steady is designed solely as a routine and personal organization tool. It does not offer medical advice, diagnosis, or clinical treatment recommendations. Consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical guidance.

4. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

If you purchase Steady Premium, the transaction is processed directly through Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).

We do not collect or have access to your credit card, payment methods, or billing address.
Payment transactions and subscription management are governed by the respective store’s terms and privacy policies.

5. Third-Party Analytics & Tracking

Steady does not include third-party advertising SDKs, cross-app tracking, or data brokers.

6. Changes to This Policy

If we update this Privacy Policy in the future, the revised document will be posted here with an updated effective date.
